Your Data, Permanently Deleted.
At JAYCO Technologies, we believe your privacy is non-negotiable. Whether you are trading in a device or sending it for repair, we use military-grade sanitization protocols to ensure your personal information never falls into the wrong hands.
1. The Erasure Process
Every device handled by JAYCO Technologies undergoes a strict 3-step privacy workflow:
Incoming Audit: The device is logged, and any physical storage (SIM cards/SD cards) is removed and destroyed.
Professional Wipe: Our technicians utilize automated software to perform a multi-pass wipe of the internal flash storage.
Verification: A secondary technician verifies the erasure. Only after this verification is the device cleared for our 30-Point Hardware Integrity Check.
2. Customer Responsibility
While we perform professional erasure on all trade-ins:
Backup: You must back up your photos, contacts, and documents before surrendering your device.
Cloud Locks: You must sign out of iCloud (Find My) or Google Accounts and remove all screen locks. We cannot legally or technically process a device that is cloud-locked.
Finality: Once the data erasure process begins, data recovery is mathematically impossible.
3. Repair Privacy Protocol
When you book a repair, your data remains yours.
Limited Access: Our technicians only access the software features necessary to test functionality (e.g., testing the camera or touch response).
Privacy Mode: We encourage customers to use "Maintenance Mode" (available on most modern Android/iOS devices) which hides personal files while allowing hardware testing.
No Copy Policy: We strictly prohibit the copying or transfer of any customer data onto our shop servers.
4. Physical Destruction of Storage
If a device's internal storage is physically damaged or fails our "Clear" protocol, the motherboard is sent for physical shredding. This ensures that even "dead" tech cannot be mined for data bits by malicious actors.
5. Certificate of Erasure
For corporate clients or high-volume trade-ins, JAYCO Technologies can provide a Digital Data Destruction Certificate upon request, documenting the IMEI and the timestamp of the successful wipe.
